SHELI Program
Create your own volunteer program!
Volunteer your time in Israel in any one of a large variety of social or
educational placements for a time period of 2 weeks to one year.
The Sheli Volunteer Project is designed to provide an opportunity for Jews from the Diaspora from age 18 to 65 to show their solidarity with the people and state of Israel by volunteering their time and skills in a placement of their interest. By contributing to Israel in this way, volunteers become part of the building of the Jewish State and have the opportunity to connect with Israelis.
Program Outline:
Tnuat Aliyah offers a wide variety of meaningful opportunities for short-term
volunteer options in Israel. Participants can volunteer in the community
and social service and educational facilities. While the program includes
personalized placement of volunteers in a placement suited for them in
the area of Israel that they are interested in, the participant is responsible
for all other arrangements such as flight, health insurance, housing, transportation,
food, and incidentals. Housing may be provided depending on circumstance
and availability.
