Mishloach Manot Project

Purim - Mishloach Manot Project - 2009

There is a Jewish tradition that on the day of Purim one must send two items of food to at least one person. It is praiseworthy to send it to more than one person. This is based on the Book of Esther and in celebration of the deliverance of the Jews from their enemies.

Carrying a Heavy Load
The men and women of the IDF carry a heavy load.
YOU can ease that load and bring a smile to their faces this Purim, March 10, 2009.

Volunteers for Israel, working with Brooklyn ZOA and Sar-El, is embarking on its annual Purim - Mishloach Manot Project.
We are seeking donations to purchase Mishloach Manot packages in Israel to be distributed to IDF soldiers.

Just as important - we want YOU, and your friends , to write letter/notes to the IDF soldiers who will be receiving these packages.

This year, Purim will be celebrated on Tuesday, March 10, 2009.

Donations:

Please be as generous as you can be.
Each package costs $18 USD to purchase in Israel.

You can donate via credit card – using our interface to Google Checkout.
