Magen David Adom Volunteer Program

If you are looking for a life-changing experience, if you are interested in getting work experience in any field in Israel or to contribute to Israeli society in an invaluable way, this is the right program for you.
Volunteers are trained from the beginning (if needed), and then go work on ambulances in all of Israel’s major cities.
- There are several 6-8 week programs every year.
- The program is for anyone age 18-25.
- You must be Jewish under the Law of Return.
- Basic knowledge of Hebrew is required.
- Housing accommodations are provided at Absorption Centers, if the participant is need of housing.

Registration Process:
The application and medical forms can be downloaded from www.Israelprograms.org
To complete the registration process, all applicants must submit:
- Completed application form including the signed “Terms and Conditions”.
- Medical form filled out by a physician (including proof of 2 out of 3 hepatitis B shots, also known as record of immunization).
- Two passport photos.
- Two letters of recommendation (cannot be from family members or friends and must be on professional letterhead).
- Photocopy of pgoto page of your valid passport.
- Payment of a registration fee - currently $50).
- Interview with Shaliach or IPC staff (preferably on Hebrew form).
Applicants with EMT certification
Applicants who are already EMT certified and who do not want to take the course
must take an in-office exam administered by an IPC staff. The exam is reviewed
and assessed as to whether the applicant passed. If the applicant passed, s/he
can participate on MDA at any time regardless of session start dates.
