Ulpan Option

Do you want to learn Hebrew or improve your skills? The IDF Base Option offers an opportunity to participate in a beginner's level Ulpan (Hebrew language lessons).

Focused on practical, conversational Hebrew you can use on the base and in your travels, optional Ulpan classes are available at various times throughout the year.

Here's what to expect:

• Classes meet on the base in the evenings.
• Minimum: 10 participants; maximum: 14
• Two, 2-hour sessions each week, during two- or three- week programs only
• Cost: $50 USD (cash only) for materials and to compensate the instructor. Pay the Sar-El representative at the airport upon arrival. Tuition is the same for 2 or 3 weeks of instruction.
• To apply, mark the main page of your application "ULPAN" under "Special Programs," and notify your regional representative that you intend to enroll.
