Taglit - Birthright

Going on a free Taglit-Birthright trip for young Jewish adults? Get the satisfaction of giving back to the Jewish state on your very first trip. Extend your stay for 2 or 3 weeks with a VFI volunteer program coordinated with Taglit-Birthright.

• Volunteer Sunday through Thursday on an IDF base alongside Israeli soldiers and civilian workers (free room and board). More information on the IDF Base Program
• Each Thursday you'll be transported to a nearby city for an unsupervised weekend of relaxation. Return to the base and another rewarding week on Sunday morning.
• Take advantage of an optional free hostel, when space permits or hotels that offer discounts to volunteers.
• The non-refundable VFI application fee is $50.

• Ask your Birthright Israel organizer for information about extending your flight.
• VFI accepts the Birthright Israel interview, medical forms, letters of recommendation and medical insurance policy (make sure it covers your extended stay).
