Alumni Exchange
This page has information for, about and by alumni volunteers, including our Post Program Questionaire, presentation materials, links to VFI social media and blogs by and about VFI programs. First-time volunteers usually hear about our programs from a veteran of VFI. That's why you---our returning volunteer---are VFI's most important marketing /recruitment tool.

VFI Volunteer Blogs
Dave-Go-Round is a terrific, thoughtful blog from a young volunteer who spent a year travelling around the world, including a wonderfully recounted stint with Sar-El and a mixed group of volunteers. Great writing, great pictures and a well-shot video.
In October, 2010, Atlanta Jewish Times staff writer John McCurdy traveled to Israel with a Volunteers for Israel group from Atlanta. Throughout the VFI experience, McCurdy filed stories with the Jewish Times, describing and commenting on his experiences:
Part 1: Arrival and the First Week of Work
Part 2: Shabat and Then Back to Work
Part 3: Weekend Tour in Tverya and Final Week at the Base
Part 4: A Post-Program Tour
Part 5: Profiling the Sar-El Counselors (or Women of the IDF)
Awesome Two Weeks blogspot from Matthew Rothstein, a VFI volunteer who served on the Lebanon border and participated in a short tour with Oranim, which also leads the VFI optional tour weekends for volunteers:
Margeaux from Baltimore has a short piece in her Traveling Hippie blog on her Sar-El experience
